RSS news is an internet format for news publications which allows a user to subsribe to a news feed, and receive notifications about new items which have been posted and keep up-to-date on their favorite information. Users can use special software called an aggregator to keep track of a list of news feeds from their favorite news, hobby or other informational sites. Most newer browsers such as Firefox and Internet Explorer 7 are incorporating this software directly into the browser. Other software such as Desktop Sidebar, Yahoo! Widgets, and many others include RSS readers.
