Congratulations MSC GU12 Fury!

Our GU12 Fury team went down to the Jefferson Cup and did quite well finishing 2nd (losing a heartbreaker in the finals 0-1) of the Superior Bracket.  Seems like a pretty great showing at a big event especially considering they were playing 11 a side.

Honoring & Remembering Isabel Driscoll

Massapequa Lost Another Great

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Isabel Driscoll.  Isabel was an active member of the Massapequa community for more than 50 years, but soccer was her passion.  She was part of the group of parents who campaigned to get the girls soccer program started within the Massapequa School District and was deeply involved with the Massapequa Soccer Club.  She was a coach, a referee and was involved in various capacities with the MSC Memorial Day Tournament.  For several years she tirelessly ran or participated in the girls ODP program – chaperoning, cheering and supporting rising young women soccer players competing around the world.  She was also s Secretary of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association.  Isabel was inducted into the Eastern New York Soccer Hall of Fame in 1999 and the MSC Hall of Fame in 2015.  Our deepest condolences to Isabel’s family.
